*In response to the overwhelming public interest, the City of Lander held a public hearing at the community center on January 3, 2012 and extended the comment period on the recommended candidate sites till January 17, 2012. The above link contains all comments received. The City of Lander would like to thank everyone that submitted comments and that have participated in the public involvement process. |

The City of Lander is in the process of conducting a Site Selection Study to find a replacement site for the existing Lander Rodeo Grounds. As part of the Site Selection Study, the City of Lander requests City of Lander and Fremont County landowners, and other interested parties to submit proposed sites to be considered for a replacement site.
The minimum site criteria for proposed sites to be considered for the replacement rodeo grounds site include:
- Be located within a 15 minute drive from downtown Lander, Wyoming;
- Have a minimum parcel size of 27 acres
- Have a supportive landowner
- Have a minimum of 300 feet between the proposed outdoor arena location and the nearest residence, unless it is the willing seller's residence.

A Submittal Packet has been prepared for those interested in submitting a proposed property for consideration as part of the Site Selection Study and is available for download. Proposals for a potential replacement rodeo grounds site shall be submitted using only the City’s Site Submittal Packet that identifies the pertinent information needed to identify and further evaluate the site as part of the Site Selection Study.
Completed Site Submittal Proposal Packets must be received at Lander City Hall at 240 Lincoln Street Lander, WY 82520 no later than 5:00 P.M. MDT on September 27, 2011. Site Submittal Proposal Packets must include (2 copies) of the completed Lander Rodeo Grounds Replacement Site Selection Property Proposal Form and associated attachments in a sealed envelope that is clearly marked “Rodeo Relocation Site.”
